The Baltimore Orioles are excited for the 2010 season after several key off-season acquisitions and the youth of the organization ready to shine.The organization is ready to take the next step in the process they have been building for a long time to compete in the American League East.
This year success will depend on the young pitching staff and if they can make it through a whole year. Brian Matusz, Brad Bergesen, David Hernandez, and Chris Tillman all saw action in the majors last year and performed well, but only three will make the squad. The top of the rotation will be led by Millwood and Jeremy Guthrie followed by Matusz, Bergesen, and most likely Hernandez. Matusz is the prize possession out of the young pitchers and has a strong case for rookie of the year this season.
